Younique - Liquid eyeliner

Hi friends! Happy Friday!! So glad this long weekend is finally here! Looking forward to some much-needed family time!

I wanted to pop in and share our last new product with you- our new liquid eyeliners!!! I've never really been a liquid eyeliner girl myself, they have always seemed to hard to work with?! But I have tons of friends that use it, and I'm pretty sure they all high-tailed it to my site when these were released!

Our liquid eyeliners come in 5 different colors (black, brown, grey, blue and green) and have an ultra fine tip for precision lining. I absolutely love these for creating a beautiful cat eye or winged eye.

Here's a quick demo from yours truly.

Here's a fun purple eye with our cream shadow in Dainty, shadow palette 3 and our liquid eyeliner in Proper.

Hope you all have a blessed weekend! If you have any questions or need help with anything, please let me know!

XO,
Kate

Younique - Self-tanning lotion & spray

When I think of self-tanning lotion, I immediately think orange, streaky and impossible to apply. Am I right? I've personally used a handful of different self-tanning products, but was never happy with the results.

Until now! I am beyond obsessed with Younique's new self-tanning products! They are easy to apply, smell good (almost a floral scent, not chemical or offensive at all!), will not stain your clothes or sheets, not streaky or blotchy, not orange (I think it gives almost a redish color, which is very similar to a natural tan or sunburn!), and long-lasting (5-7 days!).

I've done 4 applications in the last week with both products and I'm IN LOVE! Watch this video for my application tips and tricks.

Here's my results and a few of my friends.

Kate

Younique - Lip bon bons

Do you ever wish you could just wear chapstick everyday? I do! I love chapstick! But my lips are small and need a bit of color, so I usually reach for a liner and gloss. But gloss is too shiny sometimes and makes me look too "done up" for some occasions.

Enter tinted lip balm. Or Younique's new Lip Bon Bons! These are a luxurious lip treatment like nothing you've ever experienced! They are packed with antioxidants (pomegranate and gochi berry), sunflower seed oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil, and 4/5 have a dash of color.

Our lips have no natural moisture or oil to them, so that's why they're constantly getting dry and chapped. These lip bon bons will solve this problem, plus give you a beautiful hint of color. How perfect!

The five offerings are named after some of the best desserts! A decedent treat for your lips, not your hips!

I am so in love with these bad boys, I just broke out in dance! To Ricky Martin's "Shake Your Bon Bon", of course!!

Happy Wednesday, y'all!

Kate

Younique - Liquid foundation brush

If you're on social media, you've probably seen Younique's liquid foundation paired with our powder puff brush. It's a simple way to get a flawless photoshop finish and it's been SUCH a good pair for awhile!

But, there's a new guy in town. Our new liquid foundation brush!!

I won't lie, I was very skeptical when I heard we were releasing a liquid foundation brush. Because. Why? Everyone loved the puff brush, so why would anyone switch??

Well, I'm here to tell y'all- I've switched!!! And not only because it's free for me- ha! ;) The liquid foundation brush has an angled head to fit around your eyes and nose, plus the bristles are packed thicker, which gives a flawless, seamless finish. Truly, it is beautiful!

Here's a quick video and demo. Let me know if y'all have any questions or if you need help color matching!

There are so many exciting things going on in my world, but first I have to share all our amazing new products with y'all!

Starting tomorrow, I will be reviewing our new Spring line. From liquid eyeliner, to a liquid foundation brush, to tanning lotion and spray! This line-up is a heavy hitter and I'm thrilled to be able to share this with y'all!

Judson - 12 months

I have so many things to say about this past year, about how amazing and challenging and tough and hard and wonderful life is with 2 boys, about Judson and how sweet and crazy and silly and wild and smart and tough he is. And I promise I'll get to all those things one day, hopefully soon! But until then, here's his 12 month pictures...

Judson - 11 months

Judson - 10 months

I just realized I haven't posted from Judd's 10th and 11th months, so stay tuned!!

Here's pictures. We haven't been to the pediatrician since 9 months, so no idea his stats. And he's on the go, so whatever!!!!! :)

Judson - 9 months

Age: 9 months

Height: 30"

Weight: 20lbs. 4.5oz.

Milestones: Judd has been crawling for awhile now, and can now crawl up stairs, pull up, cruise and stand up on his own! He loves walking with his little push walker thing, too! He can pick up small objects easily now, plays SO BIG and is soooo close to clapping!

Sleep: For the most part, Judd sleeps 8pm-7am and rarely wakes up at night (woohoo!!!). He takes 2 naps each day, usually around 9am and 1pm and they last anywhere from 1-2 hours.

Eating: We are on the same schedule as last month (current schedule here), so I'm nursing 3x/day and giving 1 bottle of pumped milk before bed, and he's eating 3 solid meals. We just recently started table food and he really loves it! He's such a good boy!

Clothes size: 12 and 18 months

Diaper size: size 4

Teeth: 2

Favorite toy: His brother? haha! They are constantly wrestling and playing with each other. It's so sweet (most of the time)!

Likes: big brother, eating, sleeping, being outside, the dogs

Dislikes: being overtired or hungry

Personality: Judd is still very easy-going, unless we're off schedule or he's hungry.

Best moment: we've had a really fun month, can't really think of a specific moment that was great though....

Worst moment: teething

Looking forward to: we have lots of fun stuff coming up this month, also hoping for some cooler weather!!!

Judson - 8 months

Age: 8 months

Height: we don't go back until 9 months

Weight: we went to the pediatrician a few weeks ago for what I thought was an ear infection (turned out to be teething), and he weighed 19lbs. 10.5oz.

Milestones: Judson is on the go!! He refuses to sit still for more than a second. He's constantly chasing after his brother and dogs, pulling-up on everything, and he's just started cruising on the tables and couches. We moved Judd to his convertible carseat recently, and he loves it! So much  more room for him, and he can see his brother better. He's been "talking" a lot lately, and I'm pretty sure he is saying "mama" with meaning...which pretty much melts my heart! We started letting Judd walk around in his walker and he really likes that! Most of the time Jacob pushes him around, but occasionally Judd gets to move on his own.

Sleep: A few weeks ago Judd started teething, he was super drooly and fussy. I think he also got a bit of a cold, so he was waking up at night. I fed him for 2 weeks at night because he seemed to need it, either the milk or the comfort, not sure and don't care. During those 2 weeks, we moved, so I know that threw him off too. But, he cut his first 2 teeth and seems to be doing better now, so we're back to sleeping through the night (7:30pm-7am). He's pretty much down to 2 naps per day, at 9am and 1pm. If he takes a short afternoon nap, we might put him down in the early evening for a catnap, but most of the time we just put him down for bed a bit early.

Eating: We are on the same schedule as last month (current schedule here), so I'm nursing 3x/day and giving 1 bottle of pumped milk before bed, and he's eating 3 solid meals. I've tried bigger finger foods and he doesn't really like them, so we are still doing purees.

Clothes size: 12 months

Diaper size: size 3

Teeth: He got his bottom 2 teeth this month!

Favorite toy: Oh boy, since moving we've unpacked ALL THE TOYS and he is in heaven up in the playroom! There's so much he hasn't seen and he loves just letting loose and crawling around to everything.

Likes: big brother, eating, sleeping, being outside, the dogs

Dislikes: being overtired or hungry

Personality: Judd is still very easy-going, unless we're off schedule or he's hungry.

Best moment: celebrating my birthday with my TWO boys this year, when Jacob spent a long weekend at Camp Coco and we got to spend 1-on-1 time with Judson. I could tell he loved it. And Judd's baptism yesterday.

Worst moment: teething- he was a bear for a few days there!

Looking forward to: August is going to be a very quiet month for us- lots of unpacking and getting settled. Jacob starts school in early September, so we're just enjoying this month at our new house!

Our Schedule - toddler + 8 month old

Hi, friends! Happy Friday! I have been meaning to post this schedule for two months now because we have been on the exact same schedule since Judd was 6 months old. This schedule is so great, and we really love it! I think, though, Judd is ready to push his nap times back about 30 minutes (to 2 1/2 hours of wake time). But for now- this is our schedule!

7am - Judd wakes up, I nurse him
7:30-8am - Jacob wakes up, he goes potty and we have a dance party
8am - breakfast, all 3 of us eat at this time together at the table
P L A Y
9am - Judd goes down for his morning nap (usually 1.5 hours)
I pump during this time, clean up and tidy up the house. And P L A Y!
11am - Judd nurses
P L A Y
12pm - lunch, all 3 of us eat at this time together at the table
1pm - Judd goes down for his afternoon nap (usually 1.5 hours)
1:15pm - Jacob goes down for his nap (usually 1.5-2 hours)
Mommy's playtime! I usually catch up on DVR, blog or prep dinner during this time.
3pm - Judd nurses
P L A Y
4:30pm - daddy gets home!
5:30pm - dinner, all 4 of us eat at this time together at the table
P L A Y
6:45pm - bath with big bro
7pm - Judd gets a bottle of pumped milk, then I nurse him and rock him to sleep. He's generally in bed by 7:30pm. During this time, Josh watches a cartoon with Jacob while he drinks a smoothie before bed.
8pm - Jacob goes to bed. We read 2 books, sing "Jesus Loves Me" and lights out.
After the boys go to bed, Josh and I tidy up the house, one of us usually goes for a run and I pump.
Then we watch a show, drink some wine or just go to bed.

Zzzzz! Bed sounds good right now! :)

Life Lately

It seems like life is moving so fast lately, I can barely keep up! Judson is crawling now and constantly trying to keep up with big bro, which seems to move time even faster! I remember this being such a fun phase with Jacob, like he finally understood the world around him, and even more so with Judd. Watching him "chase" his brother and dogs puts a hug smile on my face.

On top of the daily things like teething and crawling and pulling-up and pooping in the potty (still working on that one!), we moved! We are now in the house of our dreams and I am loving it so much more than I ever thought I would! The additional space for activities (and junk), the huge backyard, the amazingly friendly neighborhood, the beautiful city...its just everything I was looking for and so much more!

We are slowly getting settled. Most of the boxes are put up or unpacked. We still have several rooms to furnish and most rooms need to be decorated. But! We're all alive, enjoying our days so much more, now that I'm not anxiety-ridden over noise and packing and moving. I'll be doing a full post on moving day and a house tour soon, because I cannot forget all those details!

For now, I'll leave you with some pictures of our life lately. Apologies for the poor photo quality!

Judson - 7 months

Age: 7 months

Height: we don't go back until 9 months

Weight: we don't go back until 9 months

Milestones: Judson is sitting up unassisted, pulling up and trying to crawl, eating lots of baby food, babbling all the time, and such a funny little guy! He said "mama" the other day, which totally melted my heart! He's still in his infant carseat, but we'll be moving him to the convertible seat soon because he's almost too long for the infant one! Judd can pick up small objects with his fingers and gets very close to putting them in his mouth.

Sleep: Judd is still sleeping really good! He sleeps 7:30pm-7am, and most nights he doesn't wake up at all. He takes two naps- 9am and 1pm. Lately he's been taking a short afternoon nap, so he's been taking a third nap around 4-4:30pm. But overall- he's a fantastic sleeper!

Eating: I am still nursing Judd 3x/day PLUS we give him a bottle of pumped milk right before bed, and he gets 3x meals each day. He loves chewing on Puffs, and we'll be adding in some finger foods soon.

Clothes size: 9 and 12 months

Diaper size: size 3

Teeth: none yet!

Favorite toy: He still loves all of big brother's legos, hot wheels, balls, etc. We got out the activity table and he really loves standing at that!

Likes: big brother, eating, sleeping, being outside, the dogs

Dislikes: being overtired or hungry

Personality: Judd is still very easy-going, unless we're off schedule or he's hungry.

Best moment: We had a fun month! Father's Day at the stockyards, a trip out to the lake, lots of fun playdates and swimming!

Worst moment: Judd had an allergic reaction to something (doctor thinks it was contact dermatitis, meaning he touched something (like grass) and then touched his eye). It was really sad!

Looking forward to: Moving into our new house!!
